Meet the team at Riverbend Family Dental
Dr. Elena Marsh opened Riverbend Family Dental in 2009 with two chairs and one hygienist. She grew up three blocks from the river and wanted a practice that felt like a neighbor, not a clinic. Today we've got six chairs, a bigger team, and the same idea.
Our dentists
Dr. Elena Marsh, DDS founded the practice after earning her degree in Iowa City. She does most of our crowns and takes on the tricky cases. Outside the office she coaches middle school volleyball and grows far too many tomatoes.
Dr. Sam Okafor, DMD joined us in 2018. He's great with nervous patients and loves working with kids. He also covers most of our emergency visits, so if you call in pain, there's a good chance you'll meet him first.
The people you'll see most
Jenna Pruitt, RDH
, leads our hygiene team and has cleaned teeth here since 2011. Kids ask for her by name.
Carla Benton
, our office manager, handles scheduling, insurance, and billing. Got a question about a bill? She's your person.
Three more hygienists and two dental assistants
round out the team. Most of them have been here five years or longer.
How we practice
We think you should understand your own mouth. That's why we put your X-rays on the screen beside the chair and explain what we see. We'll tell you what needs attention now, what can wait, and what to keep an eye on. You make the call.
We also keep our schedule realistic. We don't double-book, so you won't sit in the waiting room for 40 minutes, and your dentist won't rush your exam.
Part of the neighborhood
We sponsor the Harlow Crossing Little League, hand out toothbrushes at the Riverfest parade every June, and run free screenings at Lincoln Elementary each fall. This town has been good to us, and we like giving back.
